Silvia Torresan (CMCC, WP3 lead and Veneto pilot lead) is senior scientist and
co-director of the Risk Assessment and Adaptation Strategies (RAAS) research division at the Euro-Mediterranean Centre on Climate Change (CMCC).
She holds a PhD in Science and Management of Climate Change at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, her research activity focuses on the development and application of methodologies for the assessment of environmental impacts and risks related to climate change and natural hazards, including the analysis of multi-hazard risks to inform the definition of adaptation pathways. Recent researches focused on the development and application of composite vulnerability and risk indexes, Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis techniques, anddecision support tools integrating novel machine learning techniques for climate change multi-hazard risk assessment and management.
