Lea Appulo is a professional with more than 9 years of working experience as EU Policy Analyst in critical and sensitive areas of public policy (environment, DRR, climate change, migration, human security, fundamental rights). She holds a MA in International and Diplomatic Sciences. She joined Wetlands International Europe in 2016, where she works as Senior Policy and Advocacy Officer on Climate and DRR, leading policy and advocacy work focusing on ecosystem-based approaches to disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation. In MYRIAD-EU, Wetlands International Europe is sectoral representative for natural ecosystems, inputting the view of the sector into different pilots and ensuring that wetlands feature as supernature based solution for DRR.
